Science Summer (20.06.2021)

Scientists from the meteorological institute in Munich (W2W and colleagues) offered a number of activities at the "Science Summer" in the courtyard of the Deutsches Museum on 20th June 2021. Due to the COVID19 restrictions, the final and strongly reduced program included a presentation by Bernhard Mayer on the formation of clouds, rain and storm, a presentation by Thomas Birner, Philip Rupp and Felix Jäger about Coriolis and chaos in the atmosphere, and a radiosonde launch.

Staff from the museum also took part in the event to train themselves and possibly offer the activities later, as a long-term activity offered by the museum. This event was a great opportunity to get to know each other and to start a long-lasting collaboration!

The teaser of the event is available here (in German).

If the situation allows for it, the full program of workshops will be offered again later this year or next year.
